So Daniel Ricciardo has won his first Grand Prix with a top tier team. Red Bull's racing manager Christian Horner was clearly, very impressed with Daniel's drive in Montreal.
Even a casual study of his driving performances so far this year suggests this will definately not be the only time he takes the chequered flag.
Congratulations and well done, Daniel.
Talking with lots of F1 fans, including Alan Jones, at yesterday's Queensland State Funeral for Sir Jack Brabham everyone who knows him says he is tenacious, talented and gifted - but at the same time down-to-earth, feet well planted and a gracious competitor.
Everyone should be proud of such a skilled, young professional showing such promise at just 24, regardless of where he comes from.
