WANT TO HEAR ABOUT GREAT DRIVES AROUND THE GLOBE? by John Crawford

Back in July 2017 I was commissioned by a Sydney-based publisher to produce a book called 'BEST DRIVES' which was to include my suggestions of some of the world's iconic driving routes, most of which I had personally experienced.

Two years ago, on schedule, I submitted the manuscript and most of the photos to be used for illustration, and waited for publication to occur. The date kept slipping and finally, earlier this year, the publisher wrote to me and cancelled my contract citing the lack of viability of the project.

Fortunately, the publisher released the copyright back to me, and I propose to publish the 'Best Drives' as a series of TOURING posts on my Blog. I hope you enjoy them.

Since we all seem to be in lockdown, and the possibility or probability of you being able to enjoy these 'Great Drives' is near zero, I hoped that as a follower of Driving & Life, you could at least enjoy the 'virtual experience'.
