The 'Dieselgate' scandal is beginning to have a wider impact within the vast Volkswagen Group, and now touches its pride and joy in Crewe, England.

A range of programs have been slashed, whilst the Germans attempt to save money to pay the 'Dieselgate' penalties by cost-cutting.

The latest casulties are the loss of both the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6; and its visionary designer Sengyup Lee.

Lee, widely credited with changes to make the Bentayga SUV visually more appealing in production form, will join former Lamborghini and Bentley designer Luc Donckerwolke at Hyundai, pairing with him on new designs for the Genesis product line.

The radically smaller, and muscular EXP 10 Speed 6 bowed at the 2015 Geneva Salon, widely praised by Bentley Chairman Wolfgang Dürheimer - however despite a rapturous reception, the concept looks like following the Dodo into extinction!
