KIA'S NEW CERATO - MORE OF THE SAME? THANKS!

The new Kia Cerato has debuted in the USA, with its local moniker, the Forte SX, and AUTOBLOG website gives it a rave review compared to some of its Japanese rivals. 

The styling appears little changed from the current car, but there are surfacing subtleties that give the car a more contemporary appearance.

Power (200hp) comes from a turbocharged 1.6L, which will answer criticism in Australia about the sluggish performance of the naturally-aspirated 2.0L in the current car.

The interior of the 'cooking versions' is a rather dour black, but the upmarket SX has some colourful trim on the seats.

When do we see it Down Under? Anybody's guess, but obviously later this year. The Cerato is an important car for Kia in Australia, so the tart-up will be welcomed by both dealers and customers.
