If you regularly follow DRIVING & LIFE you will recognize this location instantly, but for casual readers, it’s Lago di Como, 50 minutes and 53 kilometres north of Italy's fashion hub - Milan.
And this is the village of Cernobbio on Como’s southwest shoreline, home to some of Como’s most famous lakeside villas, and the photo on the lower right is part of the gardens of Villa del Grumello, which hugs the shore.
Built in the 16th century, the grand villa sits in beautiful parklands to be enjoyed by private parties, and photographers with an eye for natural beauty.
This week, hiding in the shadows is a spectacular example of contemporary automotive art.
